Educator burn-out is a big problem. The increase in social, emotional, and behavioral challenges of students are leaving educators feeling overwhelmed. I work with educators to help them become their best selves to allow all students to succeed.
With more and more students in need of support, school counselors are seeing their roles evolving. With a deficit in school counselors, social workers, and school psychologists , school counseling departments need to learn how to work smarter and not harder to meet the growing needs of students. I work with school counselors to develop systems, procedures, and policies to help the department meet the needs of students.
School belonging/ connectedness is a major protective factor in the lives of students and can impact student success. I work with the entire school community to assess the school climate and identify solutions to improve the school experience for all students.
SEL is a buzzword that leaves many wondering what it actually looks like and means in the classroom. I work with the entire school to incorporate social emotional learning into the many facets of student learning.
